Jana Kramer announced the birth of her son, Roman James Russell, on Monday, with her fiancé Allan Russell by her side.
“Welcome to the world, sweet Roman James Russell,” she shared on social media. “We are blessed beyond measure with this little miracle.”
In a joint statement to People magazine, Kramer and Russell expressed their joy and gratitude for their son’s arrival. “Allan and I are both overjoyed and truly grateful to announce the birth of our son, Roman James Russell,” they said. “We feel blessed to have created something so special together.”
They explained that while the name Roman was chosen for its strength and appeal, James was selected to honor both of their grandfathers. “The name Roman isn’t inspired by anyone in particular; we just love its strength. However, James is a tribute to our grandfathers.”
Kramer, 39, is also a mother to two children, Jace and Jolie, from her previous marriage to former NFL player Mike Caussin.
Following Roman’s birth, Kramer shared several photos on Instagram, including one of him in a green onesie and beanie, and a touching moment when Jace and Jolie met their new brother.
Kramer also acknowledged the support of Russell, calling him “the most supportive man in the world” and shared that she opted for a C-section earlier than her due date due to a growing fibroid.
Earlier this month, she had discussed her decision to deliver earlier than her December due date and shared her excitement about the upcoming arrival of her baby.
In May, just before announcing her engagement to Russell, Kramer described him as “fantastic” and praised the respect and love they share. “I’ve never been so respected in a relationship,” she said. “It’s been really beautiful, and I’ve done a lot of work on loving myself and finding my self-worth.”
