Kelly Osbourne has said she may never fully reconcile with her boyfriend after their major disagreement over their son’s name.

Kelly Osbourne and her partner, Sid Wilson, welcomed their son in November 2022.

Recently, Kelly Osbourne discussed a significant disagreement she and Sid had regarding their son’s last name. On the “Osbournes” podcast, Kelly revealed that the argument about their son’s name was one of the most intense conflicts she and Sid have experienced.

Kelly wanted their son, Sidney, to have both her and Sid’s last names, but Sid did not agree. This led to a major disagreement. Kelly expressed that she felt forced into a decision she wasn’t happy with and said it was something she struggles to forgive Sid for. Despite this, she mentioned that they are working through it.

Kelly shared that after many discussions and couples therapy, they have agreed to change their son’s name to include both of their last names. She emphasized that both names are important and wanted their son to reflect both of his parents’ identities.

Kelly’s mother, Sharon Osbourne, criticized the idea of giving a child only the father’s last name, describing it as “dated.” Ozzy Osbourne, Kelly’s father, agreed, noting that traditions should evolve as society does.

Kelly also mentioned that Sid’s family traditions were part of the challenge. She noted a discrepancy in the generational naming pattern in Sid’s family and felt it was important to address it for their son.

Sharon Osbourne advised against assigning numbers to names (like “the third” or “the fourth”), suggesting instead that a child’s name should suit them as an individual.

Kelly admitted that this issue was the only major source of conflict between her and Sid and expressed her frustration about not having more influence over the decision. Despite the conflict, she loves that their son shares Sid’s first and middle names and just wished “Osbourne” could be part of his last name as well.

Kelly and Sid, who had been friends for years, made their relationship public in January 2022. Their son, Sidney, was born later that year in November.
